About Us
At A Bit O' Yarn, we are more than just a store, we're a community. We offer a welcoming space for all of our yarnies to drop in and share their latest projects, take a class, attend one of our events, or join us for our popular Yarn Therapy.

Meet Our Staff
Susan moved here in 2020 from Upstate NY. Shortly thereafter she took her first knitting lesson at the shop. In January 2024 she began working at the shop. She loves being around her favorite yarns and yarnies!
Sage, born and raised in Florida, started working for A Bit O' Yarn in 2021 with no knowledge of knitting or crocheting. I learned to knit and crochet on the job and I just finished my first sweater!
Meet Linda! She is our resident knitting instructor and all around yarnie. She's been knitting since she was a child and has worked at A Bit O' Yarn since 2018. You will find her in our knitting corner waiting to assist knitters.
Irene came to Florida in 2003 and has been knitting and crocheting for years and started working here in 2017. She knits left handed and inside out.
Meet Sheila! She's a bit camera shy but you can find her on the floor or in the stacks putting yarn away and keeping us organized. She's always willing to help her fellow yarnie!
Meg is our in-house can-do-all teacher for all things, both knit and crochet, except socks. She is from Albuquerque, New Mexico. Has lived in Florida for 8 years but visited Englewood when she was a kid. She learned to knit at age 10 and to crochet when she was 20.

She prefers straight needles and double points to circulars, and has... Read More
